Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Hesperia Zoo. We ask you to contact us via email the day before you would like to come in to volunteer. We accept volunteers 7 days a week.  Please arrive at 7AM sharp so we can get everyone through the locked gate at the same time and plan to stay until 11AM so we can escort everyone out together.
 
Here are a few points to keep in mind:
It is getting hot out so please bring water and a hat. 
Please wear earth toned clothing, no tank tops but t-shirts and shorts are fine. Closed toes shoes are a must. 
 We accept volunteers 13-15 years of age but they must be accompanied by an adult that is also volunteering. Over 16 years of age no guardian is necessary but we must have a parent or legal guardian sign our release form.
Volunteers may be asked to, but are not limited to: raking, shoveling, cleaning, painting, landscaping, feeding, make enrichment items, brushing, watering etc. We ask you be in good physical health for these types of activities.
